Before

First job as always is to strip the car, and sand the whole shell. Next task is the metal work. Here you can see the characteristic BMW kidney grill is being converted into something altogether more in keeping with the new character of the car, and something altogether more individual than a grill several million other people have. The original grill is very nice but very common. As always the metal is seam welded and then a skim of filler smoothes it out.

Frenched in taillights are quite time consuming but ultimately not all that difficult to do.

First job is to fabricate some metal panels, which are then seam welded into position - lining up the parts is probably the most difficult of all the jobs.

After which the welds are ground flush, and a skim of filler used to smooth everything out.
